WriterStats Server Settings

This page details how you can set up WriterStats moderator roles and default server settings on your server. Skip this page if this is not applicable to you.

info

To add and manage WriterStats moderator roles, you need either the Administrator or Manage Server permission on your server of choice.

Setting WriterStats Moderator Roles

WriterStats allows you to appoint "Server Moderators" who have powers such as:

  • The ability to force cancel sessions in the server, even if they didn't start them.
  • The ability to set server defaults for group sessions (explored in the next section).
  • The ability to update a bot's webhook in a channel.

This power makes it necessary to only grant this privilege to appointed roles in a server, such as moderators or "WriterStats Moderators" selected by the server owner.

Adding a WriterStats Moderator Role

To add a WriterStats moderator role, use /server roles add, as shown below:

Setting Group Session Server Defaults

WriterStats allows you to set the default values for a group session's start_delay, end_delay and session_length fields. More information on these fields can be found in the sessions section of this guide. These defaults can be set and reset by WriterStats server moderators using the commands below.

Setting and Resetting Server Defaults

To set a server default, use /server settings set and choose the option you want to set, as shown below:

You can then choose a value (in minutes) for this value and hit enter to set the server setting!

To reset a server default, you can use /server settings reset and pick the option you wish to reset in a similar manner to above.

You can view your current server defaults using the /server settings view command.
